The municipality of Wildberg is nestled into the beautiful hilly landscape of the Zürich highlands at 630 m above sea level. Milk has been made into Emmentaler for over one hundred years in the Wildberg dairy.
Today we annually process 2.3 million kilos of milk from 14 dairy producers from the villages of Wildberg, Ehrikon, Madetswil and Gündisau.
6 Emmentaler AOC wheels can be made every day in the dairy. This corresponds to an annual total of 186 tons.
The by-product of cheese production, whey is fed into the modern pigpen. The pigs are marketed under the label Swiss Prim Porc.
Energy is produced using wood from the surrounding forests, our guarantee for CO2 neutral dairy production.
